TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL engineering classes learn aeronautics

Taylor High School students in Mr. Boldrick's engineering classes recently were performing a lab using gliders to learn about principles of aeronautical engineering.

By launching the gliders students learned about the concepts of lift, control, stalling and center of gravity. The goal was to figure out the best angles of launch, release speed and weight distribution to obtain the optimal straight-line distance.

The class is exploring the various fields of engineering through real world engineering labs and classroom instruction.
