Ms.
Hales' fourth-grade class at Randall Elementary School received an unexpected visitor on May 19. That's when
the cocoon hatched!
The
cocoon was found in the fall. The class had been waiting and watching patiently
for it to hatch.
Out
came a male "Giant Silk Moth.”
The
class learned it was a male by its antennae.
All
were surprised by its beautiful colors.
