DECA UNITY IN OUR COMMUNITY WALKATHON a big success

What an amazing day the "UNITY in our Community" team had at its recent walk-a-thon. Kennedy and Truman DECA students worked together to host the first annual event.

They had all age groups out there to welcome the new merged Truman/Kennedy freshman – a great practice for next year when the schools fully merge.

Students were exposed to vendor tables of groups from the school, community businesses and more. Students signed our “strive for safe driving pledge” and were given water donated by Saturn Marketplace and granola bars donated by A-lot Sealcoat & Striping. They were also given a T-shirt with the local businesses in the community who helped sponsor the events.

Amy Wagel from Fierce Fitness lead our dance laps and students had a blast.

Truman and Kennedy DECA Presidents Sara Sherazi and Dominick Brock raffled off over $300 in prizes.

DECA would like to thank to all of our sponsors and student council advisors for their help.
