HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL students shown their appreciation for Taylor Police

Thirty-one students from Hoover Middle School recently visited the Taylor Police and 23rd District Court.

Hoover used funds from its student-run school store to pay for the bus and purchase letters, posters, snacks and drinks for the officers.  Students created signs, wrote letters and made rice crispy treats.  The group then bought things cases of waters, pops, chips, muffins, brownies, etc. for the officers to show appreciation for all they do.

While on the trip, students took a tour of the courthouse.  They met with Officer Clayton Conner and went to Judge Joseph Slaven's courtroom.  They watched an actual court preceeding.

The Hoover then went to the police station and toured the facility and the SWAT garage.  The students really wanted the officers to know that with everything going on across the country, the Taylor Police Department is appreciated.
