TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: The importance of good sleeping habits

Parents, students, and teachers at Taylor Parks Elementary School hosted special guests whose goal was to enlighten everyone on the need for good sleep habits for children.

Sweet Dreamzzz, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to improving children’s health, well-being, and academic performance by providing sleep education and bedtime essentials to economically disadvantaged students and their families.

Ann Raftery, director of Sleep Education Programs, conducted the parents’ workshop, along with Diane Seitz, program manager, Nancy Maxwell, executive director, with the assistance of Suzy Fezzey and Claire Fitzsimons.

Studies have proven that the need for healthy sleep habits are essential to a child’s success in school.

As a special treat, each kindergarten student was given a soft Sweet Dreamzz blanket to cuddle up with.  For more information on Sweet Dreamzz go to http://sweetdreamzzz.org.
