On
September 25, West Middle School counselors Ms. Hicks and Mr. Kellum hosted
their first parent night of the year.
Guest
speaker Anita Rothert, parent facilitator for the Southgate Guidance Center,
spoke on parenting styles, allowing choices and sharing control with your
children as parents.
West
had a great turnout at the event. Parents were able to ask questions on
parenting and share personal experiences.
Refreshments,
snacks, and pizza were served. All in all, it was a great night.
Everybody that attended the event took something away from it. The school plans
to have Anita back for another session in the near future.
