Students take 'Pride' trip to Mackinac Island
If you do well in school, people notice. Take Hoover Middle School, for instance.
On May 30-31, students who recorded great grades and outstanding citizenship marks earned a trip to Mackinac Island as part of Principal Janice Loomis' Hoover Middle School Pride program.
Ms. Henderson and Mr. Hunt, along with 11 chaperones, toured the island with 39 students. They all took the ferry to Mackinac, rode horse-drawn carriages, toured the forts, biked around the island, shopped, swam, made s'mores at on bonfire on the beach and toured The Grand Hotel.
Everyone ended up eating a ton of good food and spent quality time with friends.
The group was complimented by many strangers for their conduct during the visit, and the parents, staff and administration at Hoover were very proud of them!
See what good grades and good actions can do for you?

What a great way for the kids to learn about Michigan's rich history! It looks like everyone had a blast.
ReplyDeleteCertainly right about that, Theresa. Mackinac is always a worthwhile trip and can be a nice honor for those who did a great job this year in school!
