On
Saturday, March 3, the seventh- and eighth-grade choirs from West Middle School
performed at the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) District 12
Choral Festival, held at Lincoln Park High School.
The
three choirs each presented two songs for an audience, and read a new piece of
music at sight independently. MSVMA judges rated each performance.
The Cardinal
Singers received a Division II rating for a "Good" performance, and
both the Men in Black and the Cadet Choir received a Division I rating for
an "Excellent" performance.
Both
the Men in Black and the Cadet Choir are now invited to perform at State Choral
Festival at Brighton High School on April 26.
