WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL students receive unique message

“Just walk away.”

That was the important message delivered at West Middle School by ventriloquist Richard Paul. Mr. Paul's presentation was funded by the Downriver Community Credit Union.

Through his puppets, special props and storytelling, Mr. Paul gave sixth-grade students valuable information concerning conflict resolution. Talking about our problems, telling an adult, apologizing and venting anger in constructive ways were just some of the suggestions that were given.

This program, “Just Walk Away,” was well received by students and staff. Conflict resolution is a necessary lifelong skill.

West Middle School has zero tolerance for bullying. We are dedicated to assisting our students solve their problems in productive ways.

Mr. Paul and the Downriver Community Credit Union were invaluable in helping us meet this goal. The school thanks Mr. Paul and the Downriver Community Credit Union for their time and funding, respectfully, and know the partnership will continue for many years.
