TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL works on cyber-safe program

Taylor Parks Elementary School is doing all it can to make sure that their pupils are safe while using their phones, tablets and computers.

Tania Hernandez, Taylor Parks Student Support Consultant, has arranged for third-fifth grade students to take part in presentations from Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative, a customized program to help make children aware of the “dark side” of social media.

Programs are free, and they feature content tailored specifically for each grade level. Kevin Butts, facilitator, makes the presentation enjoyable, fun, but informative. Learning about digital citizenship and Internet safety is of critical importance for the youngest learners.
