On
February 3 the Career Center’s Business, Administration and Management students
took a field trip to Cinemark Southland Center and XD and Southland mall.
At
the movie theater, students were introduced to the manager and given a
first-hand experience on how to manage a movie theater. They were then invited
to watch the movie “Hidden Figures,” which features women in STEM careers.
After
the movie theater portion of our field trip the students were taken to
Southland where they conducted a Business and Marketing scavenger hunt.
The
scavenger hunt required students to find real-life examples of the business and
marketing concepts that they are learning about in class. A special thank you goes
to all of the businesses that made this field trip possible.
