MYERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ready to Fuel Up to Play 60!

Myers Elementary School received a “Fuel Up To Play 60” grant this year. Part of the grant is to have a "Kick Off" Rally.”  

Myers has a team of six students and three adults.  The team of students are DaeSean Williams, fifth grader; Jasmyn Gore-Roberts, fifth grader; Tiarah Lollie, fourth grader; Joseph Anthony, fourth grader; Ariel McCallister, third grader; and Erik Schroeder, third grader.  

Adults are Mr. Scott Fiske and Mr. Jason Lauterbach, both Physical Education teachers at Myers, and Leslie Burnett, Program Advisor for the grant.

The "Kick Off" on October 26 included second- through fifth-grade students. The FUTP60 student team encouraged students to eat healthy, exercise and be fit.  Amy Wagel joined us.  Amy owns Zumba Party at the Taylor Recreation Center.  She did Hip Hop dance with the entire group.


The FUTP60 team will head to Ford Field in Detroit in February for an all-day event and to meet the Detroit Lions. The grant is supported by the Michigan Dairy Council.
