The
autism classes from Holland and Kinyon elementary schools recently went to the Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield. It's a village set up for special needs students to
explore and shop.
They
have a pet shop, a bank, movie theater, library, nail salon, doctor’s office,
cafe and a gift shop. When they first get there, they go to the bank and
withdraw $12. They can spend their money on anything they want in the village.
It's
a great learning experience for the students and they had a great time!
