On
May 13, the Cadet Choir from West Middle School, directed by Mr. Dave Martin,
performed at MSVMA State Choral Festival.
They
were invited to perform with the best middle school choirs in the state after
their excellent-rated performance at district choral festival in March.
The
students traveled to Central Michigan University, where they performed,
received a coaching from a university professor, and got to see other choirs
perform.
They
then went to Michigan State University’s Brody Neighborhood dining center for
lunch among the college students. The students performed wonderfully and
represented their choir, school and city in a way that should make us all
proud!
