BLAIR MOODY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Project looks for ways to reuse and recycle!

Blair Moody Elementary School pupils care about the planet and are looking for ways to recycle, reduce and reuse trash.

The POHI students made recycled art by using water bottles, old black socks, trays and straws to create bumble bees.

Every class in Blair Moody is planting vegetables in the "Hoop House" (greenhouse).  Pupils also created a living compost pile with worms that are breaking down old fruit and vegetables into rich soil.

Lastly, "Earth Day," the Kroger's grocery store on Ecorse Road in Taylor will be distributing brown paper grocery bags that have been decorated by Blair Moody Elementary children.

It is hoped that families will use paper bags, which are better for the environment and easier to recycle, instead of plastic.

Way to go, Moody staff and students!
