Early
in March, the West Middle School Concert Band competed at the District 12
Michigan Band and Orchestra Associations Band Festival at Riverside Middle
School in Dearborn Heights.
Each
band is required to play a concert march, a piece from the required list, a
director’s choice, and sight read a band arrangement.
The
band’s program consisted of Imperial March, Karl King; Mexican Fiesta, John
Moss; and Blazing Bugles, Robert Foster.
The
concert band was awarded the highest rating of a Superior.
Job
well done Cardinals!
The
band will represent West Middle School and the Taylor School District at the
State Competition on May 3 at Oxford High School. Congratulations band members
and Mrs. Farmer!
