TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL welcomes representative, mayor for reading month

It is March is Reading Month, and Taylor Parks Elementary School had several guest readers visit this week.

Students from Mrs. Overby's and Mrs. Young's classes enjoyed a visit from State Representative Alex Garza on March 4. He read,  "There was an old lady who swallowed some books!" He also read to Mr. Young's third-grade class.

Mayor Rick Sollars visited on March 5 and read to the first- and second-grade classes. The students really enjoyed the book – the mayor read "Green eggs and ham.”

In the coming weeks, Senator Erika Geiss will also be coming the Taylor Parks Elementary School to read to students.
