TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL baseball starts the season

Taylor High School Varsity Baseball lost 5-3 at Grosse Ile. Xavier Bailey pitched the first 2 innings allowing 1 run. Gavin West was the losing pitcher allowing 3 unearned runs in 2 innings pitched. Devin Hamilton pitched the last 2 innings of the game. Devin Kristobans had the first hit (a double) in Taylor High School history and scored the first run in the first inning. Jeremy Benson also had a hit for the Griffins.

The Varsity lost to St. Mary CC, 3-0. Jeremy Benson pitched the first 2 innings and was the pitcher of record. Jacob Loftis pitched 3 innings of shutout baseball, allowing no hits. Bronson Hall pitched the last 2 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. Offensively, Xavier Bailey had a hit and was advanced to second by Dillon Sparks on a error. The rally was stopped there.


The Varsity is scheduled to play next against Wyandotte 4/10/19.
