Recently
gentleman from the Ford Motor Astronomy Club made the annual visit to West
Middle School. The club interacted with eighth-grade science students from the
classes of Mrs. Pasek-Colley and Ms. Gibson.
Club
members brought with them four high-powered telescopes, a variety of valuable
meteorites and a wealth of information to share with our students.
Thankfully,
the weather cooperated and the clouds parted. Students were able to see the sun
and at times a sliver of the planet Venus. The club members did a wonderful job
of explaining and answering student questions.
These
gentlemen gave of their time and expertise to further the education of eighth
grade students. West Middle School is very grateful and looks forward to
partnering with the Ford Motor Astronomy Club in the future.
