It
used to be called "Turn Off the Violence Day," and then it changed to
"Turn Off the Violence -- Get Healthy," Now, the Rotary Club of
Taylor has settled on the "Rotary Family Fund Day," which is one of
the most popular events annually at the Sheridan Center Open Air Pavilion in
Heritage Park.
The
most recent event took place Thursday afternoon (September 27) and featured a
host of entertainment, information and activities.
As
has been tradition, the West Middle School music program handled the entertainment,
with several choruses on hand along with the marching band. They sang and
played to a huge crowd of parents, relatives and friends.
Beaumont's
Healthy Taylor program featured a large number of information and
activity-driven tables.
The
Rotary provided the food and refreshments free, and did all the cooking and
serving. Taylor Police displayed a patrol car, and the Petting Farm brought
over animals.
