Eighth-grade
students from the West Middle School Chorus attended Solo and Ensemble festival
at Monroe Middle School on Saturday, March 24. Students performed two
memorized songs for a judge who rated them on performance factors including
tone, diction, pitch, rhythm, interpretation and presentation.
Soloist Kiersi
Dulz was awarded a second division rating for a "good" performance,
and Colin Ingersol, Kira Nieves, and Elizabeth Pryer each received a first
division rating for an "excellent" performance. The Cardinal
Singers received an average "Excellent" rating also. Congratulations
to Mr. Martin and the singers at West who have worked so hard to achieve
their artistic success!
