EUREKA HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL students get away from it all

Eureka Heights Elementary School fifth graders recently traveled to Camp Michindoh, located between Adrian and Coldwater.

Michindoh's outdoor education school meets the academic content standards and benchmarks in science for first through seventh graders in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. A wide variety of classes and activities are available to accomplish the educational and recreational goals set for students. Michindoh also offers three-to-five-day resident environmental programs in which the students stay at the facility.

Michindoh's resident Outdoor Education School was established in the February of 1991. Situated on 250 acres containing streams, wetlands, and spring-fed Weatherwood Lake, Michindoh's location and facilities provide the perfect place to explore nature and learn about the outdoors.
