WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL: Time to plan for the future

On February 2, the high school counselors from Kennedy High School and Truman High School paid a visit to the eighth-grade class at West Middle School. The visit offered to orient them with the course offerings at each school.

It is an exciting time for the eighth-grade students, as they begin to plan for their future.

Kennedy students met in the gym, as a group, to hear three counselors speak. Three students from JROTC also discussed their time at Kennedy. Truman students met with their individual counselor for a presentation about attendance, clubs, and classes offered at THS.

All students received a “Class Selection” sheet and a “Course Description Guide” to take home with them.  Students had the opportunity to fill our their course requests with their parents and review them with their teachers before meeting with the high school counselors again on February 4.
