TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL needy students receive winter coats and boots, thanks to the Masons

Once again the Downriver Masons gave of their time and funds to assist Taylor Parks Elementary School students who were in need of winter coats and boots .

Golden Ark 595, with a membership of 300, made it all possible thanks to hours of fundraising. Once funds were available, the members worked with JC Penney and Shoe Carnival, both local to Taylor, to stretch money and fulfill as many requests as possible.

With the assistance from Ms. Tania Hernandez , Student Support Consultant, and Mrs. Terri Moore, ATA, coats and boots were distributed to smiling faces.

Masons in attendance were:  Leonard Seese, Fred Kalsic, Ryan West, Douglas Meyers, Rich Pratt, Walter Howard, Charles Owens, Rick Thompson, Mike Jones, James Collier, and Joe Molner.

In addition, the Western Wayne County Wart hogs, Downriver Wart Hogs and Eternal Knights attended. Fifth-grade teacher Mrs. Trish Bergeron was very instrumental in bringing everything together.

For the Masons, they agree it is always better to give than receive. The students and staff at Taylor Parks thanks them!
