Taylor
Parks Elementary School teachers Ms. Allmayer, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Abramas,
along with their students, took a field trip to the Taylor Police Department, Midtown
Fire Station and 23rd District Court recently.
At
the fire station, students not only saw a fire truck up close but also where
the firefighters eat, workout and just relax.
At
the police station, everyone saw how 911 calls are handled and got up close and
personal with a police car – lights and sirens included!
At
the courthouse, they met up with Judge Joseph Slaven, who involved the students
in a mock trial and then let the visitors see a live arraignment.
