On October 20 Taylor Parks Elementary School
hosted its first monthly “Time Out for Parents” meeting for the 2015-2016
school year.
Nannette Kuhn, the Taylor District Parent
Facilitator, was the special guest presenter and met with over a half dozen
parents to educate them on the importance of how parental involvement
positively impacts a child's overall educational and social growth and development.
Parents in attendance were given a book and a math game to take home to share
as a part of family time activities with their children.
Taylor Parks hosts monthly “Time Out for
Parents” programs throughout the school year which aim to provide families with
information about the various community resources that assist school-aged
families in the community. Parents have shared overall positive feedback
about the program.
