The Bookworm Club is designed to enrich the lives of children by showing them that reading is a fun and exciting way to gain knowledge, while improving their reading and listening skills.
Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and generate open-ended discussions; learn how making a connection with a story invokes the imagination; and experience the pleasure of reading in a fun-filled setting that will promote and intrigue them to continue to reading for enjoyment and knowledge.
Featured will be the "Michigan Notable Books 2015" award winning "Papa Take My Hand" along with a field trip to Belle Isle on January 24.
