EUREKA HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Big Lots' contest award would mean improvement in technology for school

Eureka Heights Elementary School needs your votes!

This year, Big Lots is giving away thousands of dollars in technology prizes to schools participating in the company's "Lots2Give" contest.

Each school participating created and submitted a video highlighting their school's technology needs.

Eureka Heights entered its video, "Eureka Heights Technology Wish List," as part of the contest. It would love to put more technology in the hands of its pupils. Over 90 percent of the children at Eureka Heights at "at-risk" students and often do not have access to expensive items such as computers, iPads, Netbooks, iPods or Smartphones. Providing these types of items could give pupils at Eureka Heights a significant learning advantage.

The school places a high focus on technology, and winning the Big Lots' contest would go a long way toward improving that mission.

To access the Eureka Heights' video, go to the Michigan page of the contest entries and then just click on the school's entry at the bottom of the page. To access the page, click here.

Anyone can can three times from each device that you have every day of the voting period. The video with the most votes wins, so it's important to bookmark and visit the site daily. In fact, because you can vote three times from EACH DEVICE, you can vote from your home computer, work computer, smartphone and iPad, etc. -- as many devices as you have, three times daily.

Vote early and vote often. Share the video on your social networking Web sites like Facebook and Twitter. Email your friends and remind them to get behind the effort.

Thank you for your support in advance!
