Each month, Taylor Parks Elementary School’s entire
student body meets in the gymnasium to show support for one another.
Principal Downie started off the rally with
school news, raffles and
introduction of students who were selected as “Students of the Month.”
In a previous blog post, we learned how the third-grade
students at the school researched the State of Michigan. Not only did this
provide them with enough knowledge about the state to be put into a book, the
project encouraged the students to pass along some of this information to the
rest of school.
During the once-a-month Road Runner Rally, third-graders
performed readings, facts and then entertained with a song about our state. At
the end, with great enthusiasm, they led the entire school with a chant!
M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N!
Go Road Runners!
Racing for Excellence!
