HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL students make picnic tables an luncheon destination option

At Hoover Middle School, eating lunch isn't just for the cafeteria anymore. Eighth graders decided they would like to enjoy conversation with each other outside or read a book at picnic tables.

HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL design makes a hallway inviting

At Hoover Middle School, the library isn't the only place you can chill and relax to read a book. The students designed a special reading and relaxation area in the hallway.  It's a comfy spot to enjoy.

HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL students works on various improvements

Hoover Middle School students were involved with making the school and the community better recently.

They worked from beginning to end from analyzing the needs of their school to making the positive changes. Projects were designed to benefit the community in some way.

It could be classroom, school, neighborhood or city.  Some projects focused on beautification (tiles, landscaping, painting bathrooms).

Others focused on functionality (outdoor seating area, new drinking fountain). Another focus of benefiting the community and bringing it together was the Relay for Life group and the students organizing spirit week.

HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL students raise $1,200 for cancer research

Hoover Middle School students took action last week to help raise money for Relay for Life.

They raised a little over $1,200 through a mixture of food and drink items, activities, handmade products and baskets created by Yes-HR.  The Hoover Marching Band opened the ceremony during this year’s Relay for Life at Heritage Park.

Thank you to Mrs. Scrivner for coordinating this event for students and staff

HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL gets a special visit

Hoover Middle School recently welcomed their future sixth-grade students for the 2018-2019 school year from all our elementary schools in the district.

The students were able to go on small group tours guided by some of our current Hoover Middle School students.  We also shared the various clubs and athletics teams that they can join at Hoover.  We hope that all our future students are excited to come to our school and get involved in our community!
