Parents,
students, and teachers at Taylor Parks Elementary School hosted special guests
whose goal was to enlighten everyone on the need for good sleep habits for
children.
Sweet
Dreamzzz, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to improving children’s
health, well-being, and academic performance by providing sleep education
and bedtime essentials to economically disadvantaged students and their
families.
Ann
Raftery, director of Sleep Education Programs, conducted the parents’ workshop,
along with Diane Seitz, program manager, Nancy Maxwell, executive director,
with the assistance of Suzy Fezzey and Claire Fitzsimons.
Studies
have proven that the need for healthy sleep habits are essential to a
child’s success in school.
As
a special treat, each kindergarten student was given a soft Sweet Dreamzz
