Middle School seventh-grade students welcomed Elizabeth Egan to their science
classes for a hands-on day of chemistry experiments.
The
PlastiVan Program was sponsored by the Society of Plastic Engineers. Students
applied what they have been learning about physical and chemical changes to
experiments with polymers.
They
also learned about how plastics were developed, the many places and ways
plastics are used today and in the past, environmental responsibilities, and
potential careers in the field.
