The final stop during the Blair Moody Elementary School second-grade tour of the City Hall complex was the fire station -- always a favorite spot.
The students listened to the firefighters explain how they staff the station, where they eat and sleep ... and even picked one firefighter to slide down the fire pole from the second floor to the department lobby. (They don't do that anymore, but the pole is still there!)
The climax of the tour was the fire vehicle bay, where the students got to explore a fire engine.
