Fifth-grade
students at Taylor Parks Elementary School, teachers, and a few special guests
had the opportunity to travel back in time to 1776 and get a realistic taste of
what life was like during the Revolutionary War.
Mrs.
Sheila Lee, one of Taylor Parks awesome ATAs who is a member of the 42nd
Regiment of Foote, brought her group to enlighten the students, who have been
going over the 13 colonies in class.
Grandma
Jan Gibson spoke with students about 18th-century ladies and
children activities.
Dalton
Lee, Mrs. Lee's son, gave explanations to students regarding how things worked,
including firing a period musket.
Taylor
Police officers who attended the demonstration eagerly joined in by giving the
musket a try.
