Staff and students invited Lanny Hall from the Animal Shelter and Mayor Rick Sollars over to the school on Friday for a check presentation in the building's multi-purpose room.
All of the students wore dog ears to celebrate the occasion, the Hall brought out one of the shelter's dogs for the children's enjoyment.
Both Mayor Sollars and Hall were happy to receive the check and promised to put it to good use at the shelter.
