TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL girls led by Busch's 10 points in loss

Recently the Taylor High School girls’ basketball team faced Dearborn Henry Ford Academy and lost 70-37. HFA led 42-32 at the end of the third quarter but caught fire in the fourth quarter, making four three-point baskets on their way to 28 points.

Leading the way for the Griffins in the varsity game were the following players:
  • Avery Busch 10 points (Three three-pointers in the third quarter)
  • Oretha Cooper 10 points (8-16 free throws)
  • Betsy Egler 6 points
  • Taneicea Burleigh 3 points
  • Amiah Thomas 2 points
  • Brooklynn Swindle 2 points
  • Brenda Egler 2 points

The girls will next take to the court at Allen Park against Wyandotte Roosevelt in the first round of the MHSAA district tournament.
