Earlier
this month the Taylor Career Center held its Spring Advisory Meeting.
The
purpose of the Advisory Meeting is to bring CTE instructors together with business,
industry, parents, former students, community leaders and secondary
institutions. Each CTE program works with their Advisory Team on how to best
prepare students to be career ready.
Among
our community partners were:
- State Representative Erika Geiss
- Taylor School District Superintendent Ben Williams
- Asst Superintendent of Taylor Schools Dr. Mary Ann Cyr
- Taylor Board of Education member Deborah Stellini
The
food for the evening was provided by Chef Ostrowski's Culinary Arts program.
The
program is extremely grateful to all our Advisory members for donating their
time and expertise. The next Advisory Meeting will be held later in the spring.
If
you are interested in joining our team, please contact the office of the Taylor
Career Center at 313-295-5757.
