Recently
at Myers Elementary School, students were treated to a presentation about
reptiles and amphibians by Oakwoods Metropark Nature Center staff.
The
Oakwoods staff talked to different classes about the differences between
reptiles and amphibians, and shared information about the adaptations that help
them survive in Michigan.
Students
learned about how energy in animals’ food can be used for body repair, growth,
motion, and to maintain body warmth (which is one of the fifth-grade Science
Standards).
