On
Thursday, October 15, West Middle School was honored to have Mr. Khodr Farhat
visit many of its eighth-grade classes. Mr. Farhat brought his
motivational message to the students.
Although
blind since birth and an immigrant from Lebanon, Mr. Karhat has not let these
obstacles prevent him from leading an exemplary life. He spoke to the
students about the importance of education and that we must rise above our
circumstances.
Through
his extensive volunteer work he has raised thousands of dollars to help those
in need, granting the wishes of over 90 sick children. To continue to be
inspired by Mr. Farhat educators at West encourage all to listen to his radio
program called, "Your Voice Does Matter," on CINA Radio102.3 FM every
Wednesday, noon to 1 p.m.
