HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL: Students take the balloon challenge

Hoover Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade students completed NASA's Balloon Aerodynamics Challenge 1 to help them think and act like scientists and engineers as they followed the eight steps of the Design Process to successfully complete a team challenge.

Students designed, measured, built, tested, and re-designed a neutrally buoyant helium balloon to float at an assigned height within the classroom. We at Hoover wish you could have been here to join us in this experience.
