WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL: Speaker talks of famous air group

Alfonso King, a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Retired, spoke with the students, at West Middle School last month. 

King is the first Vice President of the Detroit Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, who served in Vietnam, Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  

He spoke to the students about the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. The experience helped bring history to life and connect to the classroom learning.  

The students enjoyed asking Mr. King questions about his life and career.
