HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL students create value drawings
The
Hoover Middle School sixth- and seventh-graders in Ms. Malloy's room created
value drawings with shape.
They
are truly “Artists in the Making.”
WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL artists show off their watercolors
Last
week, Mrs. Meier's West Middle School sixth-grade art students
demonstrated the use of warm colors and cool colors in an underwater scene.
They also practiced a “resist” technique, using oil pastels in conjunction with
watercolor paints. The final products were vibrant and beautiful!
HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL celebrates 'Day of the Dead'
At
Hoover Middle School, Mr. Bibbee's Language Arts Classes celebrated Day Of the
Dead (Dia de los Muertos) recently.
HOOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL focuses on unity
Hoover Middle School
participated in Unity Week from October 18-26. The purpose of Unity Week is to
encourage all of our students and staff to take an active role in bullying
prevention.
During Unity Week students
and staff participated in various activities through their enrichment classes
on the subjects of unity and our school theme this year: S.O. A. R. (which
means Self-control, On task, Acting Responsibly, and Respectfully).
Students viewed videos about
anti-bullying, discussed how they as students could be proactive regarding
harassing situations, and worked as a team to create S.O.A.R. banners for our
Unity Walk. Our Unity Walk was held on October 26 to show that all staff and
students at Hoover Middle School are united as a community for bullying
prevention.
