At
the Taylor Schools Extravaganza, Taylor Parks Elementary School
students from the fifth-grade classes of Mrs. Dwornick and Mrs.
McLaughlin showcased the game Bloxels.
It’s
a “hands-on brains-on” game where students can turn their own stories
into an action video game. It requires students to use creativity, imagination,
problem solving, collaboration and much more.
Bloxels
boards are used to design and build characters and story backgrounds, which
they then put into a video format. Pupils actually ran the booth, showed
off their creations and taught others how to create their own.
