Many
volunteers, including City of Taylor staff, participated in the Downriver
Guidance Center's Youth Literacy Day, held December 13 at the Johnson Early
Childhood Center.
Staff
from the Taylor Community Library, Mayor's office and Taylor Police all
participated in the event.
Parents
and young children attended the event, which included activities in the gym,
arts and crafts and, of course, reading.
Each
family came away with a bag of items that included age-specific books.
