Taylor
Parks Elementary School first-grade students were in the holiday spirit while
visiting Santa's Magic Forest at Heritage Park.
Teachers
Mrs. Thomson, Mrs. MacVeigh, Mrs. Young and Mrs. Bailey, along with their
students, saw animated holiday displays that once graced the historic Hudson
building in downtown Detroit along with displays that were donated by Ford
Motor Company.
The
students listened to beautiful holiday music while waiting in line to see the “Big
Guy,” Santa. Each student was greeted by Santa and given a candy cane. A
bonus was that the money to pay for their trip was donated to Fish and Loaves, non-profit,
faith-based organization which provides food assistance to families and
individuals. Check it out at https://www.downriverfishandloaves.org/home.asp.
