Taylor Parks Elementary School first-grade students and their teacher, Mrs. Bailey, worked very hard to construct a city that they called "Bailey Town."
They learned about goods and services for the unit they completed in Social Studies. Their town offers goods in the way of department stores and drug stores and services such as hospitals, post office and fire stations.
By crafting their own city, the students have a better understanding of businesses, workers, and the role they play in our economy.
