TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL freshmen women's basketball team claims title

On Friday December 28, the Taylor High School freshman girls basketball team defeated the Woodhaven freshman team by a score of 47-15 to win the Southgate Anderson Holiday tournament. Taylor High School freshman Madison Dienes was selected as the tournament MVP based on her two-game tournament performance. Congratulations to Coach Jonte Harrell and the THS freshman team on their tournament victory.

TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL SLS try to improve school lunches

Taylor High School students from out SLS group (Students Leading Students) met with Mrs. McCausland, the food service director, to come up with constructive ideas to improve our school lunches! It was a very productive meeting. Thank you to Mrs. McCausland for taking time out to meet with them!

TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL POHI students 'erupt'

Taylor High School POHI students in Mrs. Hoy’s class created from scratch their own volcanoes and watched them erupt. The students had to identify what type of volcano theirs looked like and explain what’s going to happen when they added the vinegar to the baking soda.

It was “Engineer for a day!” at McDowell Elementary School recently. Look at these students at work in Mrs. Van's room. They are thinking they might want to be a person who designs, builds, or maintains engines, machines, or public works. 

TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL has ball with free fall lab

Mr. Zaback’s physics Taylor High School class was back in action this week doing their “Having a Ball with Freefall” lab. Students worked in collaborative groups using electronic baseball to measure how much an object accelerates by as it falls towards earth!
