MCDOWELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL pupils receive traditional gifts

Second-graders at McDowell Elementary School received a loving gift! It's a tradition. For 44 years, Mrs. Osborne's mother-in-law has hand crocheted scarves for her students. Now that she's 95 she gets one of her younger friends (just 75 years old) to help her. Bless their sweet hearts. Aren't Mrs. Osborne's kiddies adorable?

TAYLOR PARKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL started the season early

Mrs. Ambrosia’s kindergarten at Taylor Parks Elementary School got into the holiday spirit early in December.

The students were surprised with a coloring book and bag of goodies from a peer who would be out of town for their class Christmas party. The children were so thankful!

Also, on December 7, the class made a trip to see Santa. All the children rode on a bus to the Heritage Park to Santa’s Magic Forest. They got to enjoy the beautiful displays and a visit with Santa. Happy holiday season!

HOLLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL gingerbread project puts pupils in the holiday spirit

Mrs. Madden's kindergarten friends at Holland Elementary School got in the holiday spirit recently.

They constructed gingerbread houses with family and friends. This was the final activity at the end of the gingerbread unit.

Happy Holidays!

WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL students earn incentive

West Middle School’s first trimester incentive field trip was an outing at Skore Lanes December 14.

These field trips are an incentive for good behavior and attendance. Over 200 students earned the award.  They had an awesome time and everyone bragged about how well behaved they were.

West staff is very proud of all of the students and especially how many of them were eligible to attend.  West's second incentive will be to the Detroit Tigers game.
