SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY: Team Wizards are really science demons!

Just call ‘em Team Wizards …

Team Wizards at the Sixth Grade Academy have been busy learning how to look at things the way a scientist does. They have been using science skills as they learn how to use the scientific method. The inquiries they have been doing have involved observing, forming a hypothesis, conducting experiments, communicating, measuring and interpreting data as part of Mrs. Fent's science classes.

SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY: Mobile Dentist makes a stop

The “Mobile Dentist” stopped by the Sixth Grade Academy recently.

Students who returned signed permission slips were able to get checked out by the “Mobile Dentist.” Services included cleaning and x-rays. After the exam students were given dental hygiene products.

SIXTH GRADE ACADEMY: Getting ready to fall into reading

Sixth Grade Academy students are gearing up for the upcoming Scholastic Book Fair to be held October 21-24. They will "Fall Into Reading."

MYERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Fifth-graders welcome Home Depot

Myers Elementary School fifth graders from Mrs. Bowers’ class welcomed Home Depot into their classroom. 

HD helped build birdhouses, pencil boxes and football goal posts.  Everyone had a great time and worked together.
