Hoover Middle School Spirit Week kicked-off May 7 with Decades Day, Twin Day, Hoover Spirit Day, Sports Day and finally a Pink Day to celebrate our Mini Relay for Life Walk.

Happy Mother's Day from McDowell Elementary School. Mrs. Doll's kindergarten class celebrated the holiday by inviting their families, having yummy snacks and hearing "Love You Forever," by Robert Munsch.

MCDOWELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL pupils dress and look the part

Fifth-grade students did an amazing job at McDowell Elementary School during a recent living museum program. They were articulate and dressed to impress. The living museum is a culminating learning event.  Students researched, created a presentation, and memorized a variety of information on a famous person in history. 

WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL band performs at Little League opening day (more photos)

The West Middle School marching band led the parade through Heritage Park for the opening day ceremonies for Taylor Little League South on April 28.  The 82 member band entertained the crowd with music from Motown (songs such as Get Ready, My Girl and ABC).  The band took center field to perform the National Anthem.  The band will perform the rest of their show at the Farewell concert on Wednesday, May 30 in the West gymnasium at 7 p.m.  Great job band!
